After Bloom, the group continued their journey by visiting the Daughters of Cambodia, and organization supporting mental health care, and providing technical training for victims of human trafficking. Handmade products were sold on the first floor, with a coffee shop and spa parlor on the second floor. This is where the children worked.
That evening, the girls played a game similar to Kris Kringle or Secret Santa. Each of them picked a name from a hat, and bought that person a gift with a small allowance that they were given. This fun activity helped them to express their love and gratitude for each other by choosing a gift that matched the personality of their chosen person.
The third and final gift was announced at 11pm. The gift of giving. 166 gifts had been donated in honor of Father Martino Nguyen Ba Thong. The gifts were carefully wrapped and then, with the Mission Trippers, were handed out to the homeless of Phnom Penh.
These three gifts ended another meaningful day for the girls. A gift for themselves, one for each other, and one for the less fortunate. The girls learnt the valuable lessons of love, sharing and appreciation of all the things they have.
