This entire week, Mother, Aunt, and Uncle focus on making Nativity scene. This year with the helping hands of Uncle Tran, it is more splendid than any past year. There are a flowing waterfall, Mr and Mrs Santa Claus. The Nativity stable is larger than last year so the bigger Nativity figures are replaced the last year's ones.
OBV Managers and assistants take OBV children to buy new clothes, a present from an anonymous guest
Besides candies and medicines, this guest kept asking me "What else do the children need?" Due to her enthusiasm, Soeur did not hesitate anymore and said "It nearly comes to holiday, so can you please buy each a new set of clothes"
She asked us to calculate the amount of money, and only after few minutes, Soeur was received money to buy new clothes for Tet (New Year) for the children.
As schedule, every Saturday and Sunday, teacher Jesse comes to teach martial arts for OBV children. Doctor Dan Thuy also provides invaluable support for those training sessions.
A visit had been set up by Father Thong. Perhaps he would like his children to imitate the overcoming difficulty samples from a group named "Cảm ơn cuộc đời" ("Thank life"). This is a group of many difficult lives - mostly orphaned - that have been brought together and helped by Mr. Ai Tran.
OBV children celebrated Halloween
The children say that they have known more about festivals and traditional days since they lived at OBV.
- Mom, tomorrow I will have school
- Yeah, last time, "uncle" took you to school. Tomorrow, you will go by yourself, ok?
- Mom, I am scared. Please take me to school one more time, then I will be my own next time.
The school where she will enrolled in beginning of October
After the OBV house reopened in Vietnam over 3 years ago, she was the first child whom we had found and brought home, through the recommendation of a reporter whom had collaborated closely with the organization of OBV.
Because of getting too old, plus missing documents, two of the OBV children are ineligible to go to regular public school. OBV management had to look for other school programs.
Daddy Thong promised to present the children with a new motorbike to travel when they go to university or start working. Therefore this morning Vietnamese OBV bought 2 new motorbikes for our children to fulfill Daddy's promise.
